Blog week 4 Lisa Wilson Strick "SO What's SO Bad anout being So-So"

I agree with Lisa Wilson Strick in what she wrote in the article because she had some really good points to give to people about how people are instead of having fun are just getting to competitive. I think that it’s okay to be competitive but have fun at the same time because if you’re playing and being too competitive things are not as fun.
I remember when I was growing up I used to get together with a bunch of friends and we would play baseball in the street just for fun. At the beginning when we started to play it was really fun. A few weeks in to playing we got so competitive with each other that it was not fun anymore. There were times when my team was wining and the other team just got mad and there were times when my team was losing and we would get mad at the other team for wining. Things got so out of hand that we would get violent with each other and instead of having fun we would hurt each other because we were trying to win or trying not to lose. Then came a time when we just stopped playing because everybody was mad because everybody saw that we were not having fun. That’s how I can relate to what Lisa wrote in her article.

week 3 blog stuff is not salvation

I think that the point that this guy is trying to get across to everybody that reads this article is that now a day many people based their life on “stuff”.  Her solution is to get people to see that stuff is tearing people apart. A person died on black Friday because he was ran over by the people that were trying to get things for their families.
It goes to show how people are. An innocent person dies because of the selfishness of the people, people that were trying to get thing to show off the things that they got, not one person stopped and helped the man that dies. The things that people would do to get whatever they want or whatever makes them happy. I would not want to be any of the people that were responsible for the death of the old guard. I think that instead of buying things that you don’t need, people should start focusing in what is important like family. Like my sister in laws brother has three kids and barely sees them because he is always working because he wants to give them the life that he never had, but when he’s home he is always getting mad at them because he doesn’t have the patient to take care of them, and the way he gets them to be happy is that he buys them things. The kids get new things most of the time. Another thing is that his kids are not used to him because they don’t even listen to him. He is losing his relationship with his family over work, and he is not seing that it is going to affect him in the future.

week one introduction

Hey my name is José Hernandez. I was born in Fairfield, CA and raised in Vacaville, Ca. My birth day is on September 12. One of the things that I like to do on my free time is to get together with my friends. My favorite colors are orange, blue, and black. I graduated from Vacaville high school. I am currently attending the art institute, in Sacramento Ca. I am attending to school there and I am working on getting me associates degree in the art of cooking. I had always had an interest in making food since I was little. Know that I am going to school and doing something that I love to do will hopefully make my life easier.
